Catlin Australia was established in 2004 to offer brokers direct access to a wide range of insurance and reinsurance products. There are now two offices in the country employing 35 staff and we are growing all the time.

In Australia we employ in these business functions: underwriting, claims, actuarial, finance, operations, IT and administration.

Adaptability / flexibility – You can adapt and work effectively in different situations, and remain calm under pressure.
Planning and organising – You can organise your own time effectively, create your own work schedules, prioritise, prepare in advance and set realistic timescales. You have the ability to visualise a sequence of actions needed to achieve a specific goal and how to estimate the resources required.
Communication, influencing and negotiation skills – You can communicate clearly and accurately, gaining support for ideas and motivating others to advance the objectives of the organisation and influence outcomes. You can build relationships with others and are able to present key points of an argument persuasively, negotiate and convince others.
Ambition - continuous improvement in the Catlin learning environment – You are able to set and meet challenging goals, create your own measures and consistently seek ways of improving performance. You are aware of your own shortfalls and take charge of personal development.
Strong technical disciplines - specific to the individual’s role.
For managers: leadership / management - You can coach, develop and motivate direct reports through inspirational leadership and effective people management practices in order to achieve the optimal performance contribution from each team member.
